In case anyone is remotely interested....

I am Tony Barr, born: 1956, Hull, England.

Educated at York University (BA in linguistics). Teaching certificate at Hull University.

Working life includes archaeological digs, bus driving and teaching German and French in a secondary school. I've lived in Hull, Stuttgart, York, Regensburg and now back in Hull again.

Hobbies include wargaming (miniatures, board and computer), painting miniatures, history (particularly ancient and medieval), reading (mainly history and sci-fi), Family History, drinking Grolsch in the St Johns Hotel, wargames club (one or the other) on a Saturday afternoon, computers (from Sinclair Spectrum, through Commodore 64, Atari ST to PC), music of many types from Gregorian Chant to Kula Shaker.

Now although slowed down by psoriatic arthritis, I'm running a few web sites and mailing lists and also producing (and sometimes painting) wargames figures and accessories.

Married to Penny for 27 years. We have three children, all now grown up, and one granddaughter.
