This is probably the "smokiest" of the four Bernard snuffs I have in the 14g glass bottles, having a pronounced cigar-like smell and taste. This recipe for this one is from 1850. It is of medium, though varied grind and is relatively dry. The colour is medium brown. Along with the cigar flavour is a touch of spiciness and an earthy, almost farmyard-like taste (not that I have ever actually tasted a farmyard...). Altogether a very satisfying snuff.
Update: This snuff is no longer to found on Bernard's web site. I do hope it hasn't been discontinued.
