This snuff is a partial recreation of one of Bernard's older, discontinued lines. Originally it was pine scented Schmalalzer and by all accounts, very good indeed, though I never tried it myself while I was living in Regensburg. The new version is rather different in that it is medium grind and has a fair dollop of menthol in it. A bit like the way Amostrinha went from being a plain, coarse snuff to a medicated one. While I regret that Bernard chose not to stick to the original recipe, the modern version isn't bad, but it would certainly have scored more highly for me if they had left out the menthol. Still worth a try though.
